From a visit to the beach to a startup

I am Konrad, the founder of drink delight. The idea behind drink delight has been following me for a long time. In 2008 I was on the beach with friends in the evening. I had two things with me: a beer and a flashlight. As I held the flashlight under the beer bottle, curious beach visitors suddenly came up to me and wanted to see what I was holding in my hand.

My thoughts: “Lit drinks - not so stupid, maybe you can make something out of them. On the other hand, the idea is so banal, it will definitely happen very soon.”

The years passed, but the drinks remained dark. Cell phones got flashlights. At parties, I would sometimes place my drink on my phone flashlight and present my simple product idea. Drinks, especially if there are ice cubes and orange slices in the glass, become little works of art.

I not only liked the product idea, but also the idea of ​​building my own company, making my own decisions, being free from hierarchies - being free.

But the hurdles always seemed too high for me. What a bureaucratic act awaits you. Starting a business alone. Then the product development: Until now I only knew that illuminated drinks looked beautiful and I didn't have a specific product in mind.

And then the comfort zone kept me firmly in employment: a regular income that is good enough to afford nice vacations and good food and the health insurance is also paid for.

But then there are times when you think deeply about everything. About what you have done so far and what you still want to do. At some point I would definitely regret not giving it a try?

Drinks still don't light up. It's time for that to change!
